On Tuesday, January 27, large-scale rescue service drills will be held in Tolyatti. From 10:00 to 12:00, the evacuation of people from a potential chemical accident zone will be practiced.

«The training will involve the territorial subsystem of the regional emergency prevention and response system. The main focus will be »KuybyshevAzot«: according to the drill scenario, the enterprise»s personnel will be evacuated. The goal of the events is to check the readiness and coordination of all services, as well as the operation of public warning systems in case of a real emergency,« reported the city administration.

What residents need to know:

  • Special transport from the rescue service based at JSC TP ATP No. 3 will be deployed.

  • The warning system, including electronic sirens, will be activated. Their sound during the specified time is part of the drill.

  • Most importantly, remain calm. If sirens activate between 10:00 and 12:00 on January 27, do not panic—it is a scheduled system test.

In December, residents of Syzran woke up to suddenly activated sirens. The reasons for their operation were explained by the city mayor Sergey Volodchenkov. And those were not drills.
