On January 28, at the age of 76, died the director and artistic head of Tolyatti«s Youth Drama Theater, esteemed artist of Samara region.
«The team of the Youth Drama Theater regretfully announces: on January 28 at 06:00, after a brief illness, died the director, artistic head of the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Culture of Tolyatti »Youth Drama Theater«, esteemed artist of Samara region Vladimir Lukich Korennoi. Information about the place and time of farewell will be announced later,» theater staff said.
Those who knew the artist remember him with kind words and mourn the loss.

Vladimir Lukich Korennoi was born on May 20, 1949 in the city of Zaigrayevo (Republic of Buryatia). In 1972, he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Theater School with a specialty in «dramatic theater artist». He began his professional career at the Sverdlovsk Youth Theater, then worked at the Omsk, Kemerovo, and Ivanovo drama theaters.
In 1988, at the invitation of People«s Artist of Russia Gleb Drozdov, he moved to Tolyatti and became a drama artist at the experimental theater »Koleso«. Since March 2005, he was the director, and later artistic head of the Youth Drama Theater of Tolyatti. Over half a century of theatrical activity, he created over 80 roles, actively participated in the cultural life of the region. The title »Esteemed Artist of Samara Region« was awarded in 2014.
