In early January, a young emu escaped from an agro-farm in the Leningrad Region. To catch the fugitive, the owners, neighbors, and friends organized a search operation, taking a Niva car and a volleyball net.
An emu that fled a farm in the Leningrad Region was recaptured using a volleyball net during a search operation.
The Telegram channel «Zveropyatnitsa» reported on January 24 that the bird was returned to the enclosure the same day.
The emu«s owner, Irina, told 47News in an interview that this was already the bird»s second escape. The first time the emu escaped was in the summer, when it was a chick hatched in May. By now, it has grown and strengthened, making the search more difficult, especially due to the snow cover.
Since the emu has not yet reached maturity, its sex remains unknown, and it still does not have a name.
