Engels to Renovate Three Public Spaces in 2026
In Engels, three public spaces will be renovated in 2026 as part of a federal urban improvement program, with the sites selected through a citizen vote.

Engels city officials are moving forward with enhancements to three public areas selected by local residents.

Maksim Leonov, head of the Engels District administration, announced that this year, under the federal program «Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment,» three public areas that received the most votes in a rating vote will be renovated.
The top three included Letny Gorodok (30,612 votes), the city stadium (4,457 votes), and the square near the DK «Stroitel» cultural center (3,618 votes).
At a meeting on the improvement of these spaces, Leonov instructed the relevant committees and departments to form a final work plan in the near future.
«Each site should become a center of attraction, both for citizens and for our guests,» emphasized Leonov.
The plans will include the installation of small architectural forms, modernization of lighting, and landscaping work, taking into account proposals from residents.
