EMERCOM to Deliver Heat Guns to Darasun for Apartment Entrances

Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) will deliver 10 heat guns to the village of Darasun in the Karymsky District of Zabaykalsky Krai to maintain temperature in the entrances of multi-story buildings. This was reported on January 22 on the website of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM for Zabaykalsky Krai.
Residents of the village complained to Chita.Ru about cooling radiators on January 21. Later it became known that a rupture occurred on the main heating pipeline in the village. Seventeen apartment buildings and a secondary school were left without heat. The rupture was patched with clamps, and the houses were connected to a backup scheme overnight. On January 22, the village was expecting volunteers who would help go around apartments to bleed air from the radiators.
«To maintain the temperature regime in the entrances of residential buildings, 10 heat guns have been allocated from the reserve fund of the regional Ministry of Housing and Utilities, which are being delivered to the village by a vehicle of the Specialized Fire and Rescue Unit of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM for Zabaykalsky Krai. An operational group of EMERCOM is working on site,» the message says.
According to EMERCOM, the accident led to a temporary restriction of heat supply to 17 apartment buildings, where 2250 people live, including 228 children, as well as to a school and a House of Culture. During yesterday, the Darasun Energy Company (DEC) attempted a temporary repair using a clamp, but after filling the system, a leak was detected. Therefore, the heat supply was switched to a backup scheme.
«Currently, employees of management companies continue to monitor in-house systems, eliminate airlocks in entrances, and provide targeted assistance to residents based on incoming requests. In parallel, main work is underway to excavate the ground and replace the damaged section of the main heating pipeline,» the website said.
Twenty-six people and six units of equipment have been involved in eliminating the accident and its consequences, including eight people and three units of equipment from EMERCOM. The work of all services is coordinated by the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM for Zabaykalsky Krai.
Meanwhile, on January 22, the prosecutor«s office of Zabaykalsky Krai announced on its Telegram channel that it is conducting an inspection regarding the utility accident on the heating pipeline at the boiler house of LLC »DEC« in the village of Darasun. The boiler house has been switched to a backup heating pipeline.
«During the visit, representatives of the supervisory authority, together with the administration of the Karymsky Municipal District, the resource-supplying and management organizations, organized measurements of the temperature regime in the houses of the village, as well as at the boiler house. To eliminate violations, the prosecutor»s office has submitted a representation to the head of the resource-supplying organization,« the statement of the supervisory authority said.
