On January 29, the united press service of the St. Petersburg courts disseminated information about the decision of the Leninsky District Court. Ekaterina Bivol, the former wife of world boxing champion Dmitry Bivol, was assigned 60 hours of compulsory work. The basis for the punishment was a video posted on the Telegram messenger.
The clip was identified in the fall of 2025 during social media monitoring conducted by employees of the Center for Countering Extremism. A case was initiated against Bivol under the article on inciting hatred or enmity. A linguistic examination established that her statements contain sharp and offensive assessments of persons of Kazakh and Kyrgyz nationality. Experts also recorded obscene language and claims of the «superiority» of one group over another. The video appeared online on October 22.
This is not the first administrative offense for Ekaterina Bivol. In November, eight cases were initiated against her for public insults.
Previously, the court had only issued a warning to her. At that time, the reason was comments on Telegram directed at her ex-husband, boxer Dmitry Bivol, his fans, and family members.
