Drone alert in Volgograd Oblast, airport closed

A drone alert has been declared in Volgograd Oblast. The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) sent SMS notifications to residents this morning. Shortly afterward, the «Kover» (carpet) plan was introduced at Volgograd Airport.
Earlier on the night of 4 February, shortly after midnight, the drone alert was declared for the first time that day. It was then cancelled around 5 a.m. and reinstated about an hour later.
— Attention! A drone alert has been declared in Volgograd Oblast. Remain calm. Avoid open areas. Do not approach windows. Be alert and cautious! — reads the message from EMERCOM.
Restrictions at Volgograd Airport were imposed shortly after the drone alert. According to the online flight board at Gumrak Airport, the morning Aeroflot flight SU 1758/1759 from Moscow to Volgograd and back is delayed by approximately 2 hours. The arrival of Pobeda flight DP 6965/6966 from Moscow, originally scheduled for 9:45 a.m., has been postponed to 10:35 a.m.
Recall that the drone alert was previously declared on the night of 2 February and the previous day — early in the morning of 1 February.
