DNA test disproves Chelyabinsk woman's hospital swap suspicion

21-year-old Viktoria Andreyeva from Chelyabinsk became the subject of the TV show «DNA» (16+) on NTV. The girl suspected she was switched at the maternity hospital. She is a dark-eyed brunette, while her mother is a blonde.

«From a very early conscious age, I»ve heard that I absolutely don«t look like my mom,» Viktoria said during filming. «There»s a cardinal difference with my mom. Mom is very fair, blue-eyed. Doubts arose because of constant questions.«

Viktoria was born at the maternity hospital of City Clinical Hospital No. 6 and has not resembled her mother since childhood.

«There are thoughts that perhaps there was a swap,» the girl shared. «Because I»ve already re-examined photos, already scrutinized them. Naturally, we discussed it with the family. I asked who sees what resemblance. It«s not that everyone says I don»t look like anyone. Some think I have some features, but I don«t see them at all.»
However, mother Yelena Andreyeva had no doubts about her relation to her daughter: the girl«s father has Armenian roots, so neither the dark skin nor the hair color of the child surprised her. The family was initially surprised by the idea of a DNA test, but eventually supported Viktoria.
«I think it happened somewhere in the area of the children»s rooms, where babies are bathed, swaddled,« the mother shared her guess about a possible swap. »When they brought her to me for feeding, we weren«t allowed to unwrap the babies, look at their hands, legs. We only fed them, and they took the babies away from us.»
However, the DNA test showed 99.9% relation between Viktoria and Yelena. The version about a swap was not confirmed.
Recall that this is not the first participation of South Urals residents in the show on NTV. A year ago, they told the story of a guy from Chelyabinsk Region. He claimed that a girl from Satka (Chelyabinsk Region) could be the daughter of one of three fathers, although the girl«s mother and grandmother were sure otherwise. Their correctness was confirmed by the test.
