A post was published on one of Krasnodar«s popular Telegram channels, where a resident from another region says they want to move and asks which district of the city is the best. The publication gathered over a thousand comments, but locals interpreted the request in their own way. Most cited reasons why one shouldn»t move to the city: due to traffic jams, heat, and overpopulation. 93.RU collected locals« opinions on why you shouldn»t go to Krasnodar:

«If they crammed 2 million people into your small town, what would you say? They disfigured the city under the guise of improving life. And there»s nowhere to work. All residential complexes are built on the sites of ZIP, RIP, and other factories. They promised newcomers the Krasnodar sea, and they fell for it. And now they«re stuck in traffic jams. It»s bad for everyone.«;
Krasnodar is notorious for its severe and persistent traffic congestion.

«Just tired of the newcomers»;
«Do you like 10-point traffic jams every day, +45°C (113°F) in the shade in summer, mud and frozen mud in winter, eternal disputes between newcomers and Kuban natives—then welcome to our Krasnodar!»;
«I love my city, but I can»t get used to this number of people, new districts. We don«t need that many. But no one asks us.»;
«Better not consider the Krasnodar region. There are wonderful cities nearby like Stavropol, Rostov…»;
«Wake up—traffic jam, drive home—traffic jam, not a city but a fairy tale, but even in this situation, there»s no desire to leave«;
«I»m leaving this place myself and don«t advise anyone to move. The capital of villages»;
«You forgot to mention the hellish heat in summer…»;
«Krasnodar was built when horses had carriages, the city has grown immensely in the abyss of capitalism, but the infrastructure can»t keep up with the development«;
«Actually, Krasnodar is not the best city to live in. The traffic jams are huge, housing isn»t the cheapest. It«s insanely hot in summer. I was born here, it used to be better, at least winters were snowy»;
«I always took pride in our Krasnodar, I live in the university district and here at the employment service they gave me a referral to Rossiyskaya and I saw this horror! The bus was packed so you can»t see the light, multi-story construction, then private sector mixed with commerce. How could they give permission for such construction? How do these people commute to work if the bus is full even after Petra Metalnikova? I drove from Sennoy for 1.2 hours during the day, and what about mornings and evenings? And the saddest thing is that there«s no way to change it anymore.»;
