Disappearance of TODAY host's mother a possible crime

Important updates have emerged in the search for the missing mother of television host Savannah Guthrie. Law enforcement in Arizona believes the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie may be linked to a crime.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that disturbing signs were found at the home of 84-year-old Nancy in the Tucson area. Police are now treating her residence as a crime scene.

Nanos did not specify what crime may have been committed but appealed to the public for help in the investigation.

«After processing the scene, we believe we have a crime scene and a crime. We are asking for the community»s help,« the sheriff said at a press conference on Monday morning.
According to Nanos, law enforcement is combing the area for any trace of Nancy, but so far these efforts have not yielded results.
As previously reported, Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday afternoon. According to the sheriff, she was last seen at home on Saturday evening.
Earlier, Nanos reported that homicide detectives are involved in the investigation.
In a statement on Sunday, Savannah Guthrie said: «On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and words of support. Our focus is now on the safe return of our dear mother.»
