Defense Ministry Reports Drone Downed Over Volgograd
Overnight, air defense systems intercepted 95 Ukrainian drones, one of which was destroyed in the airspace over Volgograd Region.

Russia«s military department reported the destruction of one unmanned aerial vehicle in the night sky over Volgograd Region. The data was published on the Defense Ministry»s official channels in messengers.
The statement said: «During the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 95 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones: 36 over Krasnodar Territory, 27 over Rostov Region, 21 over the Sea of Azov, 8 over Belgorod Region, 2 over the Republic of Crimea, and 1 over Volgograd Region.»
This incident was preceded by mass warnings about drone threats from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM). Russia«s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) imposed restrictions, closing Volgograd International Airport (Gumrak). According to the online board, as of 08:05 on February 5, two flights were delayed: SU1758/1759 on the Moscow (Sheremetyevo)–Volgograd route and back, as well as flight FV6217/6218 operated by Rossiya Airlines. The delay was about two hours.
