Cyber fraudsters circulate fake decree from Ulyanovsk regional government

A fake order from the Ulyanovsk regional government has been circulating online, claiming to impose internet restrictions.
A decree concerning internet access restrictions for residents of the Ulyanovsk region has spread on social media. This was reported by the regional Crisis Management Center (TsUR). The document allegedly states that to use the internet, Ulyanovsk residents will need to present a passport. Exceptions are made only for civil servants, participants of the special military operation (SVO), and their relatives. The decree is signed by Oleg Yagfarov, the Minister of Property Relations, Urban Planning Activities, and Digital Development of the Ulyanovsk region.
— The decree is a crudely formatted fake. It violates legal drafting rules and contains spelling and lexical errors, — explained TsUR employees.
The Ministry of Property Relations also confirmed that no such document exists and urged citizens to trust only verified sources of information.
Recall that earlier, cyber fraudsters circulated a fake video in the name of Ulyanovsk region governor Alexei Russkikh. In it, the regional head allegedly states that expenses for supporting SVO participants are not a priority for the regional budget, and in a number of regions, such benefits do not exist at all. The governor made no such statements.
