Residents of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region have been complaining for the second day about heating and hot water problems after a utility accident that occurred on January 24. Then, due to a heating pipe burst, several dozen homes were left without heat.

According to local residents, utility workers came to the homes and fixed the consequences of the accident. But on Monday, January 26, in some homes it was still cold or there were interruptions in heating — when one room was warm, and in another they had to bundle up.

«In our chat, it»s been a complete horror for the third or fourth day. Today they also wrote that ice is bursting the pipes. It«s just something unreal. Half the city has been knocked out because of all this. They said everything was fixed, but it turned out it wasn»t,« complained a resident.

«Garnaeva, 9 — decided to leave it as is?! They said they would do it. Half the risers have heating, but the others are icy again. The heater doesn»t warm up the apartment because all the walls have just cooled down,« said another Zhukovsky resident.

After what happened, the Investigative Committee for Moscow Region opened a criminal case. The execution of the order was put under control in the central department.

«Since January of this year, due to a utility accident, the supply of heating and hot water to apartment buildings and private houses, as well as medical institutions, has been cut off. As a result, the temperature regime in the premises does not meet established norms. Appeals to various authorities have not yielded results,» said the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The administration of Zhukovsky told MSK1.RU that utility workers have restored the operation of boiler equipment.

«The management company carried out restoration work on boiler equipment, currently commissioning works are being conducted. The deadline for completing the restoration of heating and hot water supply is January 26, 2026 by the end of the day,» clarified the administration.

The head of the city district, Andronik Pak, reported that heat is being supplied to all apartment buildings. At the same time, local work to eliminate airlocks in apartments continues.

Recall that earlier, residents of several streets in Zhukovsky in the Moscow region were left without heating in minus 20 degrees Celsius (-4°F). The situation was taken under control by the prosecutor«s office of Moscow Region.
