Chita neighborhood freezes despite utility's normal temperature claim

Residents of the Severny neighborhood in Chita have complained that many homes are cold, especially over the past week. On January 23, TGK-14 told a Chita.Ru correspondent that they measured the temperature and it meets standards.

“Half of the Severny neighborhood is freezing in their apartments. Neither the management companies nor TGK-14 are responding to complaints,” said one resident.

According to him, the problem affects many buildings — for example, numbers 9, 11, 12, 18, and 40. He said that many people are writing in the neighborhood chat, so there might be more addresses.

“The problem has been since the start of winter, but it got this cold about a week ago. And what can they say? TGK-14 says: «This is the management company»s responsibility,« the management company says that TGK-14 is supplying low pressure. And it»s no use. TGK has stopped answering the phone,” added the interlocutor.

TGK-14 responded that they took measurements the day before: all parameters comply with norms.

Heating problems have been plaguing Zabaykalsky Krai since the start of the heating season and are not letting up. Just in the last few days, several accidents have occurred — for instance, in Darasun (Zabaykalsky Krai), due to a heating main break, people have been without heat for the third day. On January 23, the resource company handling the repairs reported that the repair is almost complete. Besides that, in Dauria (Zabaykalsky Krai) on January 19, a water pipe burst, leaving some houses without water. There, they also promise to finish the work within the day. Moreover, in Yasnaya (Zabaykalsky Krai), a heating main break occurred, the leak was found and repairs have begun.
