Children's Hospital Issues Blankets Amid Heating Repairs
Heating was temporarily shut off at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital on Komsomola Street due to repairs to the heat network. Additional blankets are being distributed to patients and thermal heaters are being used.

Heating in the hospital was stopped due to emergency work on the heat network in St. Petersburg. By order of Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko, the medical facility organized the distribution of additional blankets and connected thermal heaters.
The press service of the regional administration reported on 4 February: «The hospital has been disconnected from heating due to repair work on the heat network in St. Petersburg. Currently, the hospital»s heating system is operating in a «looped» mode to conserve heat. Heaters have been installed in the wards.«
The heat supply company Teploset explained that specialists are fixing a technical fault on a 500 mm diameter pipeline on Mineralnaya Street. The heat supply restriction began at 12:00 on 4 February, and full restoration according to regulations will take 20 hours.
«The temperature conditions in the rooms are within normal limits, which was confirmed during an inspection by the company»s specialists,« the press service clarified. They added that heat is entering the building via the return pipeline.
According to information from Fontanka, shortly before the publication, a Teploset employee checked the situation at the hospital. Earlier, windows were opened in the medical facility due to stuffiness, leading to a drop in temperature in the wards. All windows are now closed.
