Cherepovets applies 5,600 sq m of road markings

Cherepovets Mayor Andrey Nakroshaev reported that over 5,600 square meters of road markings were applied in the past week, using specialized equipment to keep crossings and lines visible.

Andrey Nakroshaev, head of Cherepovets (a city in Vologda Oblast, Russia), said on social media that pedestrian crossings and road markings are being refreshed in the city. Over the past week, specialists applied nearly 5,600 square meters of markings.

“We are refreshing pedestrian crossings and road markings on city streets so that they remain clearly visible for drivers and pedestrians,” Nakroshaev said. “Two Shmel units are working—they apply longitudinal markings. Four specialists are involved per shift. Two more Kontur units are used for pedestrian crossings and other auxiliary markings. Last week, we applied nearly 5,600 square meters of markings.”

Nakroshaev added that work is carried out only on dry asphalt. Markings are not applied on Friday afternoons to avoid creating additional traffic jams.
