Charlie Kirk's widow calls for open trial of accused murderer

Erica Kirk is demanding full openness at the trial of the man accused of murdering her husband, Charlie Kirk. According to media reports, she is opposing any attempts to close the court hearings from the public.

She is calling for public and press access to evidence and the proceedings, provided it does not violate the defendant«s right to a fair trial.

Recall that Charlie Kirk was shot in September 2025 on the campus of Utah Valley University in the city of Orem, Utah. After a large-scale operation, the suspect, Tyler Robinson, surrendered to authorities.
Prosecutors in Utah have charged him with aggravated murder, illegal use of a firearm resulting in serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.
If found guilty on the first count, Robinson could face the death penalty.
