Bystrinsky GOK processed record 11.4 million tons of ore in 2025

Nornickel announced the results of its production activities for the fourth quarter and full year 2025. The Zabaikalsky Division produced 70 thousand tons of copper in concentrate for the year, which corresponds to the upper limit of the forecast of 66–70 thousand tons. A record was also achieved in ore processing.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Nornickel«s copper production (including the Zabaikalsky Division) increased by 12% compared to the third quarter: to 112 thousand tons due to growth in marketable concentrate output. All copper was produced entirely from the company»s own raw materials.
In 2025, copper production decreased by 2% year-on-year to 425 thousand tons. Excluding the Zabaikalsky Division, copper production from own raw materials was 355 thousand tons, which corresponds to the upper limit of the annual forecast of 343–355 thousand tons. The Zabaikalsky Division produced 70 thousand tons of copper in concentrate for the year — this is the upper limit of the forecast (66–70 thousand tons). In 2026, copper production in the Zabaikalsky Division is forecasted at 69–73 thousand tons.
The company«s operating director, Evgeny Fedorov, listed a number of strategic projects being implemented by Nornickel»s enterprises. In particular, in the Zabaikalsky Division, the company has begun construction of a gold recovery plant. The project will improve end-to-end recovery, increase volumes, and accelerate gold production. The commissioning for industrial operation is planned for the end of 2027 – beginning of 2028.
