‘Near the two-story, 12-apartment building at 8 Mukachevskaya Street, a drinking water pipe burst on January 23. All the water is flowing into this house. The entire basement and cellars of ground-floor apartments are flooded with water. Emergency services don«t care. We pumped the water out all night ourselves. The problem hasn»t been fixed to this hour. And what we pumped out at night has filled up again,’ readers of V1.RU report.
According to residents, on the day of the burst, utility workers came to the site, but they assured that nothing serious had happened or would happen.
‘The services arrived, turned around, and left. They say: «What could happen to it?» It«s -20°C (-4°F). Everything is flooded. No one is pumping anything out, no one wants to do anything.’
V1.RU is checking with the press service of «Concessions of Water Supply» whether employees have been dispatched to the site and by when the burst will be fixed. No response had been received by the time of publication.
Meanwhile, residents of houses on Kostycheva Street in the Verkhnezarechensky settlement have been without hot water since yesterday. According to them, when they complain to dispatch services, they are told that nothing can be done. «Concessions» only briefly state that repair work on the water supply will be carried out soon, without specifying exact timelines.
