Burnt Tomsk Historic House Not Deemed Unsafe by City Hall

The two-story historic house that burned down in Tomsk on January 21 was not deemed dilapidated, the city hall reported, noting it had been scheduled for major repairs since 2019.

The two-story house on Mamontova that burned down in Tomsk on January 21 was not dilapidated. According to the city hall, it contained four private apartments.
Recall that yesterday in Tomsk, a wooden historic house at Mamontova, 5A burned down. It is included in the protective list of wooden houses («List-701») and appears in the Ministry of Culture order No. 1055 as a historically valuable urban-forming object (HVO). Several years ago, it had already caught fire, but, as NGS70.RU was informed by the city hall«s press service, it was not deemed dilapidated:
«The two-story house at 5a Mamontova Street is not dilapidated; it contains four private apartments. In 2019, following an interdepartmental commission, the house was deemed to require major repairs. The house is included in the list of valuable urban-forming objects,» the city administration said.
They added that during yesterday«s fire, representatives of the district administration went to the site, but none of the house»s residents were present.
Meanwhile, specialists are ready to advise the residents on the procedure for obtaining material assistance, which they are entitled to by law as fire victims.
