«After a fairly long break, a proper February blizzard hit St. Petersburg the day before. With gusty winds, the bad weather tried to create difficult conditions on the streets,» the committee noted.
Freshly fallen snow was swept to the curbs for later removal. On Monday, 14,000 cubic meters of snow were removed from the city«s streets. The total volume of snow cleared this winter reached 1,056,000 cubic meters.
On Tuesday, 825 units of special equipment and 1,210 street cleaners went out to clean city highways and courtyards. Work in parks and squares is carried out by 264 vehicles and 835 people.
It is worth recalling that over the first two months of winter, the snow cover in St. Petersburg reached 104 centimeters.
