Base Stations Launched in Southern Urals Garden Cooperatives

Installing new base stations alleviates network congestion in garden cooperatives in the Chelyabinsk region.
In the Chelyabinsk region, additional base stations have been launched in garden cooperatives (SNT, or sadovoye nekommercheskoye tovarishchestvo). The changes affected SNT Metallist-2 in Chelyabinsk, SNT Stroitel-1 in Magnitogorsk, and SNT Svetlenky in the settlement of Vishnegorsk.
The new infrastructure was needed to reduce network load and provide local residents and gardeners with access to digital services, mobile internet, and voice communication during peak hours. The base stations operate in the mid-frequency band.
All work was carried out by specialists from MegaFon.
— “In the summer, residents of the Chelyabinsk region spend a lot of time on their garden plots in big cities or beyond. It is important that communication works reliably and subscribers do not lose their usual digital comfort. A well-planned modernization program helps maintain mobile internet speeds. Changes in communication quality may have been noticed by residents of the villages of Medvedevo, Kundravy, and Travniky,” added Gennady Zhukov, director of the operator in the Chelyabinsk region.
This year, specialists have carried out over 80 technical works at telecom facilities in the region, including in popular recreation areas in the Chebarkul district.
