In the center of Ufa, there has been a very sad street with many architectural monuments for many years. While October Revolution Street awaits its time for restoration, a photographer from UFA1.RU walked along what could become the Arbat of the Bashkir capital, searching for interesting details.

Someday the street will be put in order.

At the moment, the overall view of the street resembles a cemetery of cultural heritage sites. Out of dozens of houses, only a few remain inhabited. Although by appearance, one can hardly tell them apart.

This house, by the way, is inhabited.

But despite this, beauty can still be found here, such as elements of wooden architecture. On many houses, carved window frames have been preserved. Every house is a work of art! Inside, of course, there«s not much for the eye to catch on, except where an old stove remains, or Soviet-era wallpaper and occasional stucco on the ceiling. However, everything is steeped in history and the daily life of old times.

The carved details are very beautiful.

In some houses, lush tulle still hangs in the windows, and old-fashioned curtains are visible. Many types of antennas are still noticeable on the facades—both newer satellite dishes and old «rabbit ears» dating back to the early 2000s.

Made by masters of their craft.

Besides wooden structures, there are also brick buildings where there is something to see. The key at such moments is not to pay attention to the broken windows and trash everywhere.

All the houses are different.

At the intersection with Novomostovaya Street stands the Spassky Church, which is also worth examining. One can catch sight of the columns and let the gaze slide along them to the entrance group, where above the entrance, a likeness of Christ is fashioned from stucco.

There are no repeating details.

Closer to the intersection with Vorovsky Street stands the oldest house in Ufa—the Demidov mansion. Did you know that the legendary Russian commander Suvorov once stayed there?

Soviet-era wallpaper is still on the walls.

The stove could tell many tales if it could speak.
