According to the forecast of the meteorological service FOBOS, a ridge of an anticyclone, whose center is shifting across the southern territories of Russia, dictates weather conditions in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. In St. Petersburg during the day, there will be variable cloudiness with clearings, and light snow is possible in some places. The air temperature is expected to range from −9 to −11 degrees Celsius (16 to 12 °F). In the region, thermometers will show −8 to −13 degrees Celsius (18 to 9 °F), and in some areas it will get colder to −15 degrees Celsius (5 °F). The wind is southwest, with a speed of 2–7 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure will continue to drop, reaching 765 millimeters of mercury, which is above normal.
