Veterinary clinic specialists fought all night for the kitten«s life, which had frostbite. He had a high temperature and severe swelling in his paws, tail, and ears. Gradually, they managed to stabilize the animal»s condition, but the next day he got worse.

According to doctors, the cat had impaired circulation. He needed medication costing about 10,000 rubles (approximately $111 at current rates). It was found in Irkutsk and sent to the Angarsk clinic.

At first, the kitten«s condition was severe, but gradually he began to eat on his own.

«Kamyshok is already perky. He eats on his own and asks to be held,» shelter staff said on January 22.

Due to frostbite, the tips of Kamyshik«s ears will fall off. However, the sores on his paws and tail will heal.

«Condition is satisfactory, appetite is very good, he walks on his own, but with a bit of a paddling motion; if you approach him, he tries to run out of the cage immediately,» quoted a message from the veterinary clinic at the shelter.

It is known that after treatment, the cat will be taken to a foster home.
