Massive delays and cancellations of Aeroflot flights from St. Petersburg to Moscow occurred on January 26 due to a failure in the Leonardo booking system.
In the airline«s Telegram channel, a message was published:
Due to a failure in the Leonardo booking system (Sirena-Travel) for reasons beyond the airline»s control, schedule adjustments may occur through flight time changes, as well as cancellations of some flights across the entire route network.
According to the online board at Pulkovo Airport, at least nine flights to the capital were marked with red notifications for delay or cancellation.
Aeroflot representatives explained that after the issue is resolved, passengers will be able to rebook tickets on the nearest available flights within ten days or receive a full refund.
Earlier, the airline reported a large-scale failure, but soon the work of check-in systems at Pulkovo was restored.
