Today, 4 February, the mayor of Yessentuki, Vladimir Krutnikov, wrote on his Telegram channel that a bomb threat report had been received regarding School No. 1.
Approximately 600 children and 50 adults were urgently evacuated after the threat report was received. The information immediately triggered standard safety protocols: students and staff were taken out of the building, and emergency services arrived at the scene.
As city head Vladimir Krutnikov later reported on his Telegram channel, the inspection found no real danger. The threat report was not confirmed.
Despite the false alarm, the evacuation was carried out in an organized manner, without panic or casualties. The school is currently operating as normal, and the circumstances are being clarified.
Similar information was received in the city before the New Year holidays. On 24 December 2025, bomb threats were reported for Schools No. 3 and No. 4, the latter being under renovation. Due to the renovation, students were studying elsewhere, so a decision was made to evacuate Schools No. 7 and 9. However, it later turned out that the bomb threat information was not confirmed.
