On January 29, in the Lyskovo district of Nizhny Novgorod Region, a massive traffic jam occurred on the federal highway M-7. According to online map services, its length is about 30 kilometers.

The cause of the congestion was intense snowfall and road accidents. Motorists report serious traffic difficulties on the M-7 highway in both Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir regions.
«I»ve been stuck for eight hours before the turn to Kovrov,« wrote one motorist.
«I left Vladimir towards Nizhny at 7:30. Now [approximately six hours later] I»m only in Vyazniki. The entire highway is at a standstill,« complained another man.
In the area of the city of Lyskovo in Nizhny Novgorod Region, traffic is paralyzed due to an accumulation of trucks, witnesses report.
In Nizhny Novgorod itself, traffic jams of up to eight points intensity are being recorded. Over the past day, at least ten accidents have occurred in the city. If yesterday peak loads were observed in the morning and evening, today the road situation has worsened even further.
