The 25th competition of social and cultural projects of PJSC LUKOIL has been launched in Prikamye and Timano-Pechora. For the company«s 35th anniversary, a special nomination—»Energy for the Benefit of People«—has been introduced. This category can include career guidance projects promoting oil and gas industry professions, initiatives to support young talent and develop an inclusive environment, and volunteer projects aiding families and children in difficult situations.

Initiatives are also accepted in three traditional categories. In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, experts in the «Spirituality and Culture» category will focus on initiatives aimed at preserving historical and cultural heritage and national traditions, and developing folk arts and crafts. The «Ecology» and «Sport» categories will consider projects for preserving natural landscapes, developing children«s and family ecotourism, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The application period has started in the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where it will run until 28 February. Participants from the Perm Territory, Udmurtia, and Bashkortostan can submit their initiatives from 2 February to 20 March. An expert jury will determine the grant recipients by 24 April, and from May to December, the contestants will implement their ideas.

At the end of the year, the best and most effective practices will earn project managers a special competition award—the «Selenite Bear» in Prikamye and the «Ruby Fox» in Timano-Pechora. More details on participation are available via this link.

In 2002, the Perm Territory became the «birthplace» of LUKOIL«s social and cultural projects competition among the territories where LUKOIL Group organizations operate. Since 2005, the competition has been held in the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In Prikamye, almost 4,000 projects have been implemented over the competition»s history. About half a billion rubles (approximately $5.6 million at current rates) have been allocated for their implementation. The projects were initiated by 650 public organizations. Thanks to the competition, 6,700 new jobs have been created, and 20 beloved regional brand festivals were born, including the largest ballooning festival «Nebesnaya Yarmarka» (Heavenly Fair), the annual «Honey Spas» festival in the village of Uinskoye, and the all-Russian bell art festival «Zvony Rossii» (Rings of Russia). Since 2023, the competition has been unified for Prikamye and Timano-Pechora and is held simultaneously in the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
