103 Drivers Fined in Vologda for Unbuckled Seatbelts
Over the past 24 hours in Vologda Oblast, three road accidents with injuries occurred, and police detected hundreds of traffic violations.

Over the past 24 hours, three road traffic accidents were registered on the roads of Vologda Oblast, in which four people were injured. In addition, there were 69 accidents that caused only material damage.
Inspectors of the State Traffic Inspectorate removed eight drivers who were under the influence of alcohol from driving, as well as 13 people who were driving without a driver«s license. For not wearing seatbelts, 103 motorists were brought to administrative responsibility.
Also, materials were drawn up against 39 pedestrians who violated traffic rules, and against 10 drivers for violations of passenger transportation rules, including three for transporting minors without complying with the norms.
During the raids, police officers issued 26 acts on identified deficiencies in the operational condition of roads. One of the incidents occurred in Cherepovets on Mochenkova Street. The driver of a Kia Rio, a man born in 1951, hit a six-year-old girl who was crossing the road at an unmarked crosswalk. The child was hospitalized with injuries in Hospital No. 2.
In another incident in Cherepovets on Pobedy Avenue, a woman driving a Kia Rio struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road against a red traffic light. The injured man, born in 1987, was also taken to a medical facility. On the Chekshino–Totma–Kotlas–Kuratovo highway, a Renault Captur driver drove into the oncoming lane to overtake and collided with a Kia Rio. As a result of the accident, the driver of the Kia and a passenger of the Renault were injured and hospitalized in Totma Central District Hospital. The State Traffic Inspectorate urges all road users to strictly follow the rules. Drivers are advised to be especially attentive, especially near pedestrian crossings and residential yards, and pedestrians are advised to cross the road only in designated areas and use reflective elements in the dark.
