Salmonella Found in Omsk Dumplings, Sales Suspended

Salmonella and Listeria have been found in dumplings produced by the Omsk company «Znatnye Produkty». According to the regional Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), the sale of the products has been suspended across the country. The violation was detected in Primorsky Krai, where a batch of dumplings was shipped. Salmonella was found in the «Omskie Lyux» brand, and Listeria in the «Malutki» brand.
Znatnye Produkty was established in 2006. The director and owner of 50% of the business is Sergey Karpov. In 2024, revenue was 4.4 million rubles (approximately $44,000 at current rates), with a net loss of 34 thousand rubles (about $340). Another 50% of the company is owned by Alexander Yermoshin.
This is not the company«s first violation. For example, in 2024, the organization produced 180 kg of fish cutlets »Dalnevostochnye« from eight kg of pollock, exceeding the mass of the original raw material by 22.5 times.
«In the period 2024–2025, monitoring activities repeatedly recorded facts of product falsification by individual entrepreneur Karpov S. M. Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of components not declared in the labeling: chicken and soy DNA were detected in the »Tsarskie« and »Malutki« dumplings, as well as in »Beef« cutlets.»
Salmonella and Listeria are dangerous pathogens that cause severe intestinal infections. Listeriosis is particularly dangerous for pregnant women, newborns, and people with weakened immune systems.
As previously reported by NGS55.RU, from 2020 to 2024, 215 notifications about low-quality products on the shelves of Omsk Region were submitted to Rospotrebnadzor.
