Blogger and gardener from Irkutsk, Victoria Anpilogova, shared a homemade recipe for delicious pelmeni. The secret isn«t in the meat or seasoning, but in the special dough. A treat that must be shared with the beloved readers of IrCity.
For the dough, you will need:
three cups of flour;
a teaspoon of salt;
one egg;
three tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Mix all of this and pour a cup of boiling water into the mixture. Then knead the dough and put it in a bag for half an hour to let it rest.
The pelmeni really do look beautiful
According to Victoria, it turns out very elastic, it«s pleasant to work with, and you won»t even need flour.
«From the dough, I make a sausage, cut it into small rounds, and roll each round into a little pancake. All the dough at once. Then the whole family sits down and starts shaping. The kids really enjoy this process, especially when we make one pelmeni with hot pepper. Who gets it is unknown. The pelmeni turn out very large, we boil them in chicken broth. We eat the pelmeni with vinegar water. A little vinegar, ice, and it turns out very, very tasty,» Victoria says.
