Vlad Cherevaty discusses family, rivals, and season 3 plans

Vlad Cherevaty is a two-time winner of the show «Psychics: Battle of the Strongest» and the holder of the blue hand in the 23rd season of «Battle of Psychics». If these accolades mean nothing to you, you likely know him as «the psychic who has his own demon Tolik». Who is Tolik really, and is he alone? How does his wife feel about this? Cherevaty discussed this and more in an interview with NGS24.RU correspondent Tatyana Zarva.

Relationships within «Psychics: Battle of the Strongest»

Vlad Cherevaty first appeared on television screens in 2021 when he joined «Battle of Psychics». At first, he seemed strange; neither viewers nor other participants placed big bets on him, but time passed and as the finale approached, Vlad remained in the project and, moreover, showed almost insane results.

The psychic himself admitted that he came to the project to «prove something» to his family. He repeatedly mentioned difficult relationships with his mother and father, who did not believe in him and were sometimes even afraid.

— I initially wanted to prove something to my mother, to my family, but the desire for fame was also there. Without that, it«s impossible. And it hasn»t disappeared anywhere. I still want to be on television, on the TNT channel, to express myself even more, to show myself, possibly in other projects. This is what fulfills me today. Some people have hobbies — gardening or, for example, animals. My hobby is television. This is what relaxes and distracts me, — says Vlad.

Vlad never hid how and with what he works. Viewers and program participants were often shocked by his magical attributes: bandages taken from the deceased, cemetery soil, an old cracked mirror that had clearly seen a lot in its time. Throughout his television career, Vlad Cherevaty remains a controversial figure — some hate him, others admire him.

His fellow psychics also have an ambiguous attitude towards him. Almost every gathering in the Gothic hall is accompanied by scandals, quarrels, accusations, and conflicts.

All these moments stem from Vlad«s emotionality and straightforwardness. He always tells the truth to people»s faces, even if he sees a person for the first time (for example, during trials. — Ed.). For this reason, he has quarreled repeatedly with his colleagues on the «Psychics: Battle of the Strongest» project. Vlad himself admits that after the past season, he was even disappointed in some psychics.

— I was most disappointed by Angelina Izosimova, I«ve said this before, I don»t hide it. Previously, there was something about her that hooked me. But she behaved not entirely correctly, in my opinion, — says the psychic.

This refers to the penultimate episode of the second season of «Psychics: Battle of the Strongest», where the witch Angelina Izosimova intentionally lowered the score for the witch Victoria Raidos. Izosimova herself wanted to break into the finale, but she failed, and the fourth finalist spot was taken by the sorceress Maryana Romanova. With her, by the way, Cherevaty remains on good terms.

— I have excellent relationships with Maryana Romanova. I know for sure that I can write to her at any moment and she will support me, just as I will support her. But in any case, it«s more of a friendly relationship. Also with Victoria Raidos, yes with many, — Vlad tells the NGS24.RU correspondent.

«I will be on TV for a long time yet»

Who does Vlad work with, and who is Tolik? As he admitted to the NGS24.RU journalist, he has several «comrades», but he unites them under one name — Tolik. This is a force «that can help with many things: in business, money, and career».

And of course, Tolik is not the real name of the entities, a so-called pseudonym that «relaxes the audience». Cherevaty came up with it back in the first season, answering the host«s questions.

The most frequent question asked to Vlad concerns whether he can see his own future and the future of his loved ones.

— I know the fate of my relatives, my own fate, but I try to live in the moment. You know, I heard it and thought it was all nonsense. I continue living at my own pace, and then it comes true, and I think: «Well, okay, it came true and that»s it!« I want to gain my own experience, make mistakes that will be only mine! It»s so cool — to live and feel that you are truly living, — says the psychic.

Vlad admitted to us that trials related to possession make a special impression on him. Back in the first season of «Battle of the Strongest», he staged a real exorcism session with a girl Lida, who was possessed by a demon. In the second season, a similar story happened with the heroine Aziza. The psychic also recalled that there was another trial that he remembered more than the others. It was also related to possession: in the Leningrad region, a 32-year-old girl took her own life.

In this trial, all present were amazed by the accuracy of the psychic«s words, and he became the favorite. The dark magician summarized: demons had possessed the deceased while she was still alive, literally driving her to death.

There were also cases when Vlad did not want to help the program«s participants. Some he simply directed to church, others he ignored; sometimes the scandalous dark magician even left the trial earlier than required.

— In principle, I defended my position in the moment. I don«t quite remember these people anymore, but they existed. I think it was exactly the story where Oleg, I, and Angelina Izosimova were, and we investigated a paranormal phenomenon in an apartment, — says Vlad.

Then, based on the trial results, the applicants chose not Vlad, but the one he would later become disappointed in, the witch Angelina Izosimova. And if Oleg Sheps was so offended by the choice that he tried to persuade the program participants otherwise, Vlad simply left.

However, none of what happened prevented the psychic from once again reaching the finale and taking the golden hand. This time Vlad did not give it to anyone, but he himself did not even expect to win.

— I initially wanted to get into the second season of «Battle of the Strongest». How could «Battle» be without me, you understand? There was a feeling that I had to take my trophy, which rightfully belonged to me, which previously stood in the office. Finally, I did it, — explained the dark magician.

— Today, there is a clear understanding that I have fulfilled my mission. I got what I wanted. From the very beginning, I was going for this victory. Yes, some liked it, some not so much. But, as I always say, you need to endure. I endure, and you endure, — he says.

The TNT channel has not yet announced the third season of «Psychics: Battle of the Strongest», but at the end of the second season, Vlad Cherevaty said that he would go into it as well.

— Now the emotions have subsided, but let«s not make predictions. I know what awaits me in the future, and I see that I will be on TV for a long time yet, — he says.

«She knew that I hear voices»

Besides television accolades, Vlad Cherevaty has more down-to-earth ones — husband and father. Vlad Cherevaty«s wife — Elena — appeared in the psychic»s life before the project, and it was she who prompted him to apply for the 22nd season of «Battle of Psychics».

— She knew that I hear voices, that I feel more than everyone else, that I have helpers. My wife«s attitude is absolutely adequate, sane. I separate personal life and work, — says Vlad.

It«s hard to imagine how he manages to separate them, because, besides »Battle of the Strongest«, Cherevaty has his own shows on YouTube: »Without Masks«, in-person and online meetings in the project Cherevatyi Time. Vlad actively runs social media and shares moments of ordinary life with his fans. Besides »Battle«, Vlad is the host of the show »Extra Taxi« on TV-3. Two seasons of the project have aired.

— «Extra Taxi» is a cool project, and repeats are still airing on TV-3 to this day. I would really like a continuation of this reality show, but, alas, the project is closed for now. It left a lot of emotions, as well as a huge number of people, passengers, who didn«t make it into the episodes. It»s such a light, «lite» project that makes you think about life, look at yourself from the outside, — says Vlad.

The «Extra Taxi» project allowed viewers and other interested people to see Vlad in a simpler setting: despite the cameras, in the show Vlad simply drives a passenger to the desired point, like a regular taxi driver. But at the same time, the psychic calls upon his «helpers» and with their help tells personal things about each passenger.

In the first episodes of the first season, it was obvious that passengers didn«t even know that their driver in a hood was psychic Vlad Cherevaty. But then the man would take off his hood and introduce himself. There were passengers who still didn»t recognize Cherevaty after that, but there were few.

Vlad Cherevaty has a son, Lev. He recently turned four years old, and everyone is interested in whether the boy inherited his father«s abilities.

— Yes, he possibly has some abilities, but I wouldn«t want to talk about it at all. My son, when he grows up, will decide for himself who he will be and what he will do. One thing I know for sure: right now he is under good protection.

And in general, he is an ordinary child. An ordinary, cool, wonderful, my most beloved son Lev. And he will always be the most ordinary for me. Therefore, I don«t want to hang any label on him. He is just a child. A child who has a famous father, — says Vlad.

And this is only a small part of Cherevaty«s family. In fact, it»s hard to imagine how many close people are counted. This refers to his fans, whom he kindly calls «relatives».

— My fan base grows over the years and only becomes better and higher quality. The audience that supports me always goes all out with me. Their strength, pressure fill me with energy. The fact that I call them relatives seems cool to me. It«s like it unites us, as if we are kin. And some of them really, like relatives, support, write in the morning: »Good morning«, in the evening — »Good night«, and so on.

They worry about you as about themselves. We have gone through a very long path with them, and I appreciate all the people who support me and walk alongside me. And I am always sincerely grateful to them. They give various gifts. Recently, at my show Cherevatyi Time, which runs simultaneously online and offline, I was given a stuffed hawk! It now hangs in my office. You know, it was the most insane gift lately, — admits Vlad.
