'Ropes Are My Pain!': Two Angara Athletes Nearly Ousted from Titans

Two athletes from the Angara region faced near-elimination in the latest episode of the Titans show.
Several athletes from the Irkutsk region almost got eliminated from the show «Titans» (18+) on TNT after just the second episode. The team, which included MMA fighter Anatoly Nadratovsky and boxer Maria Pytina, turned out to be the unluckiest and was sent in full force to the elimination trials.

The tug-of-war challenge posed major problems for the team led by Siberian Conor.
The first competition in the new series was tug-of-war. For Conor, this brought back not the most pleasant memories.

Rugby player Kirill Kosharin delivered a motivational speech before the decisive test.
«Damn it, ropes are my pain. In the first season final, I had a one-on-one tug-of-war with Maga [Magomedrasul Rabadanov] – and I lost. And now these fucking ropes again!» said Nadratovsky.
Athletes from Irkutsk in other teams were confident in their abilities.
«I don»t care who wins or loses from the first or second season. As we say in football, I don«t remember anyone from the reserves,» declared former footballer Fyodor Kudryashov.
«It doesn»t matter what the second and third seasons think. The most important thing is that we are the winners,« replied Conor.
In the opening challenge, three teams participated, with two of them almost facing each other. Siberian Conor was among the «strikers» of the first season«s team. Several times they could have won, but at some point, according to gymnast Arthur Dalaloyan, »it was like the lights went out.«
In the first round of the competition, the «gray» team won – the best participants of the third season. Initially, no one bet on them because the most miniature athletes were gathered there.
«Now we»re switching on and snatching this victory,« Conor motivated his partners before the battle with the second season»s team.
The contest began with a scandal: one of the athletes started pulling the rope before the sound signal. The athletes quarreled, some even expected a fight, but in the end, the situation was kept on a peaceful course.
«The oranges [first season»s team] pushed hard, we started to give up a little advantage. I had thrilling feelings [arise],« admitted Irkutsk bobsledder Alexei Negodailo.
In the end, Conor«s team conceded. Its participant Arthur Dalaloyan admitted: the team lacked cohesion. Because of this, 12 athletes from the first season, including Conor, went to the elimination trials. However, natives of the Angara region Alexei Negodailo and Oksana Kosheleva secured themselves at least in this episode.
The «firsts» were unlucky in the subsequent rounds as well, they went to the «additional tests» in full force. Irkutsk natives Anatoly Nadratovsky and Maria Pytina had to fight for survival, and she absolutely disliked the decisive challenge – it turned out to be endless jumps over an obstacle.
«A terrible challenge. A terrible endurance test,» she noted disappointedly.
Conor echoed her: «Damn it, what endless jumps? How much is enough?!»
During the show, the participants behaved completely differently. The «Titans» from the third season managed to quarrel with each other even after a convincing victory in the main challenge. But the participants of the first season, on the contrary, decided to remain friends until the very end.
«No matter how things turn out down there, you are incredible people. I wish each of you good luck. We have always been on mutual respect for each other. You are forever in my heart, I love you all,» addressed his partners rugby player Kirill Kosharin.
«Mutually, 100%,» replied Conor.
The athletes« task was to overcome 14 barriers on the platform with a limit of 30 seconds per round.
«I jump, rush like Sonic, fly like a rocket, like a baby kangaroo. I can jump endlessly,» Anatoly Nadratovsky said with a smile about completing another challenge.
As a result of this challenge, the five worst participants left the project. These are aerial gymnast Anna Logashova, dancer Vera Bondareva, model Alina Volkontina, former UFC fighter Irina Alekseeva, and fitness trainer Andrey Dremushkin. Moreover, the last one competed with a serious knee injury, often having to jump on only one leg.
