Perm Woman and Mother Blog About Cooking, Mushroom Forays, and Regional Beauty

A woman from Perm started her channel on Dzen, where she talks about and shows her city walks, mushroom picking trips, recipes, and crafts. We found the blog«s author and spoke with her.

Natalia«s channel is simply called »Natalia Musina Perm«. She is 54 years old and lives in Perm. She does not reveal what she does for work — she doesn»t want reactions from «haters».

She makes videos about her life: traveling, cooking delicacies, walking around Perm, growing berries on the windowsill, doing crafts, and often picking mushrooms.

Natalia runs the channel together with her 74-year-old mother, who is very popular with subscribers due to her interesting stories from the past and poems. The blog now has five thousand subscribers.
The most viewed video is one showing a collection of patchwork rugs, which was watched by 77 thousand people.
The second most popular video gathered 64 thousand views, in which Natalia and her mother walked to abandoned gardens, where they found wild berries and apples.
Mushroom picking trips are especially popular on the channel, each of Natalia«s videos on mushroom foraging gathers many views.
Initially, Natalia ran the blog on YouTube, but now due to restrictions, not everyone can watch it. Therefore, about five years ago, she launched a channel on Dzen. She considers her audience to be older people.
In the blog, she talks about travels around the region — Natalia has been to Kungur, Suksun, Orda, Krasnovishersk, Vetlan, Stone City, Usvinsky Pillars, and many other towns in our region. But the trips to Kungur were the most memorable.
«I love visiting Kungur the most; it has such an old-world charm,» recalls Natalia. «It»s nice to walk through the city«s streets and immerse yourself in its atmosphere, not forgetting to check out every suspension bridge, as well as climb Ice Mountain, wander near karst sinkholes, see feather grass and rare plants. And in the height of summer, strawberries grow there. You need to visit this place several times to explore the city and museums.»
The correspondent from 59.RU asked Natalia which place she considers the most beautiful for walks in Perm.
«I like the »Lime Mountain« eco-trail the most,» advises Natalia to readers. «We go there most often because there are few people. Nearby is a wild forest where you can go off the trail. Plus, there are two more trails nearby — »Alone with Nature« and »Visiting Lipanyushka« — and the »Yuzhnaya« ski base.»
The blogger has posted 271 videos on mushroom foraging. They usually get from a thousand views, and the most popular video in the mushroom collection gathered over 31 thousand views.
«We go for mushrooms not far from the city, using public transport,» says Natalia. «Along the Sylva Tract and in Verkhnyaya Kuria. I adore picking mushrooms. Sometimes I go by bicycle, with a basket in front on the bike.»
Also, the channel«s author explained why she likes going for mushrooms.
«There are no mushroom secrets; I just really love the forest, nature, the opportunity to be alone,» Natalia tells 59.RU. «To fry something on a burner or over a campfire. Berries, mushrooms — everything in season. In spring, we start collecting pistiki — young horsetail shoots, then nettles, sorrel, goutweed, pikan — Siberian hogweed. I really love cooking from wild plants: salads, pies.»
On Natalia«s channel, there is a collection called »Garden on the Windowsill«. The author grows fruit plants on her windowsill.
«»Garden on the Windowsill« is another hobby of mine,» shared Natalia. «I grow herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and sometimes eggplants, citrus fruits, and strawberries. Exactly what doesn»t require special care. The varieties are mainly window-friendly, low-growing.«
Earlier, we told about a pair of retirees who travel to warm countries and run their own blog.
