‘On the territory of the village, at the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026, an initiative group prepared five guest houses. Now, the first guests are set to move into these houses — they are natives of Taptanay. They are coming to their hometown to celebrate Sagaalgan (the Buddhist New Year festival). Many of our fellow villagers no longer have a parental home, so it was decided to accommodate them in our izbin,’ according to a quote from the head of the rural settlement, Tuyana Lubsanova.

The izbas had long been standing in the village but were abandoned. A cosmetic renovation was done in them for the convenience of tourists.

According to Lubsanova, the current infrastructure can accommodate up to 25 people, and in the future, the village plans to create a historical cultural ethno-village ‘Tabtaanay’ with an emphasis on local history, sacred sites, and national cuisine.
