Figure Skating Stars Stage Show in Yekaterinburg City Center – Video
Figure skating stars performed on the main rink in Yekaterinburg — Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin and world champion Evgenia Medvedeva. We show how the gala show went on 1905 Square.
Other renowned skaters also took part in the performance — Olympic medalists, champions of Russia, Europe, and the world. Among them were Sofia Samodurova, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Morisi Kvitelashvili, Alexander Enbert, and Anna Pogorilaya.
The program consisted of solo and joint numbers. Thus, Evgenia Medvedeva performed to the song «The Earth Spins Faster», and Alexei Yagudin — to «Island of Misfortune». In the end, they presented a beautiful dance to the foreign composition «Happy New Year».
«Forget about gadgets! Please, communicate, engage in sports. Especially since there are such open venues! And I want to congratulate you with all the holidays that have already come,» Alexei Yagudin addressed the residents of Yekaterinburg.
Not everyone could attend the show, as tickets could only be won in a contest. Those who weren«t lucky still managed to watch the performance from behind the glass enclosure.
The star skaters« performance was supposed to take place on 12 December, but due to warm weather, the gala show had to be postponed.
