Tyumen cancels school for second shift due to cold

Tyumen authorities announced another cancellation of classes due to the cold. They published the information on their official website and relevant resources.

«Attention to parents and students of general education institutions! Today, due to low outdoor air temperature, second-shift classes in Tyumen schools for students in grades 1–4 in person are canceled,» stated the city administration.

This is the second school closure on Saturday, January 24. Early in the morning, classes were canceled for first-shift students. But students in grades 1–9 did not attend school.

The topic of school closures is causing much discussion among students whose classes were not canceled. Some even reached out to public figure Yekaterina Mizulina. She published the messages on her social networks and also noted that not only children but also adults – teachers themselves – are writing to her.
