The administration of Tyumen has again announced the cancellation of school classes due to abnormally low temperatures. The corresponding notification was posted on the official website of the city authorities.
«Attention parents and students of general education institutions! Today, due to low outdoor air temperature, classes of the second shift in schools of Tyumen for students in grades 1–4 in-person are cancelled,» the city hall reported.
This is already the second weather-related cancellation on Saturday, January 24. Earlier in the morning, lessons for students in grades 1–9 of the first shift were cancelled.
The decision to cancel classes sparked active discussions among schoolchildren. Some students appealed to public figure Yekaterina Mizulina, who noted that similar appeals are coming not only from children but also from teachers.
