Voronezh PE Teacher Accused of Seducing Pupils Remanded in Custody
The teacher was taken into custody in December after accusations surfaced online.
In Voronezh, the pre-trial detention of a physical education teacher accused of seducing pupils has been extended. This was reported by Voronezh1.ru from the Levoberezhny District Court.
The 29-year-old former teacher will remain in a pre-trial detention center until March 5.
The story about the PE teacher who allegedly seduced schoolgirls appeared online in early December. After that, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 134 (sexual intercourse with persons under the age of sixteen) and Part 3 of Article 135 of the Russian Criminal Code (lewd acts committed against two persons). On Tuesday, December 9, it became known that the 29-year-old PE teacher was detained, and in the evening he was charged.
