Unlicensed Cosmetologist Describes Fatal Procedure on Samara Blogger

An unlicensed cosmetologist at a Moscow clinic faces charges after a blogger«s fatal filler injection.
A Moscow court has placed a 26-year-old employee of the Elmas clinic under house arrest, where blogger Yulia Burtseva died after an operation. The worker is accused of illegally practicing medicine, resulting in the negligent death of a person (Part 2, Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
38-year-old Yulia Burtseva was undergoing injection-based buttock augmentation at the clinic. The procedure was performed by an employee without a higher medical education or the required license for medical cosmetology practice.
“I took two syringes that I had previously filled with an anesthetic, injected one syringe with a volume of 1.8 ml into the targeted area, then about a minute later injected the second syringe with the same volume. After 30 seconds, I injected the client with a substance volume of 10 ml,” the accused said.
After this filler was injected, the blogger suddenly felt ill: she experienced anaphylactic shock. The woman was taken to the hospital, but they could not save her, and she died the same day.
The arrested clinic employee admitted her guilt and acknowledged that she did not perform an allergy test before the procedure. She purchased all the medications herself: five packages she obtained from different suppliers via a messenger app.
The editorial team also managed to speak with Yulia«s father. He recalled how he learned of the tragedy and told what is happening with the criminal case now. Previously, we published a biography of Yulia Burtseva — read it.
