Bailiffs have halted the operation of all trade outlets at the Temerink market in Rostov.
In his Telegram channel, Rostov Oblast Governor Yuri Slusar reported that over many years, the market has turned into a «toxic cluster of the Don capital: a hotbed of crime, counterfeit goods, and illegal migration.»
«For decades, gray schemes have flourished there, depriving the city and oblast budget of honestly earned taxes,» wrote the head of the region.
Slusar stated that such «islands of disorder and lawlessness» will not exist on the territory of the oblast. Regional authorities intend to develop civilized and legal trade.
«We are doing this, first and foremost, for the safety, comfort, and well-being of Rostov residents,» emphasized the governor.
Recall that earlier, Yuri Slusar announced the start of a large-scale reform of street trade in Rostov Oblast.
