In the Kirovsky District, police identified a 35-year-old local man suspected of possessing illegal drugs. The investigation proved highly successful.
During a search of his home, operatives found 18 zip-lock bags containing a derivative of a synthetic drug. As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Stavropol Territory, the total seized weight is 14.54 grams, which qualifies as a large amount.
The man was taken to the police department. There, he explained that he allegedly collected the drugs from stashes—so-called «drops»—in the area of Novopavlovsk (Stavropol Territory), and stored everything exclusively for personal consumption.
However, such explanations did not save him from serious consequences. A criminal case has been initiated for illegal storage, the suspect has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
