According to the regional investigative committee, the minor has been participating in the activities of an international organization since the end of 2025, which is recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia.

«The defendant, for monetary reward on the orders of a curator, was seeking individuals to set fire to transport infrastructure facilities in the Onezhsky District. His unlawful actions were stopped by officers of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Arkhangelsk Region,» the agency said.

The minor is charged under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) and Part 1 of Article 30, point «a» of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Russian Criminal Code (preparation for sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

A search was conducted in the apartment, the boy was detained and taken into custody.

«Contrary to the defense»s arguments, the court believed that the accused could put pressure on witnesses, continue criminal activity, flee from the investigation and trial, and that ensuring his proper behavior without isolation from society is not possible,« the press service of the Onega City Court said.

For participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, punishment of up to 20 years of imprisonment with a fine is provided. A similar punishment is provided for committing sabotage by a group of persons by prior conspiracy.
