A 43-year-old resident of the town of Mikhailov reported to the police that two motorcycles and a set of power tools—a saw, a jigsaw, and a pressure washer—had been stolen from her garage. Officers questioned locals and established that a 16-year-old resident and his 13-year-old friend could be involved in the theft.

According to preliminary information, the 16-year-old learned that his acquaintance’s relatives had bought a motorcycle. After that, the acquaintance of the suspect left for compulsory military service, and the motorcycle remained in the garage. The teenager allegedly decided to steal it together with his 13-year-old friend.

According to the investigation«s version of events, the initiator of the theft climbed into the garage through a window and opened the door from the inside for his friend. This way they were able to take the motorcycles and power tools.

The regional police department reported that the teenagers wanted to sell the stolen goods but did not have time. They have now been sent to a juvenile affairs unit, and the stolen property has been recovered.

The older teen faces up to five years in prison.
