A shootout on Rublyovka in Moscow between police and criminals ended with the death of one of the kidnappers. According to Russian Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk, today officers from the Ministry and the Russian National Guard conducted an operation to detain two criminals who abducted a man in Penza on January 29 and took him to an unknown location.

As a result, the hostage was killed. The kidnappers themselves tried to hide in Moscow. Officers tracked down their location, but they opened fire.

«During the arrest, the attackers put up armed resistance, so the police, in accordance with the Federal Law «On Police,» used their service weapons. As a result, one of the suspects suffered fatal injuries,» Irina Volk clarified.

Now one of them has been detained. The kidnappers are also suspected in other incidents and crimes across Russia.

According to 112, they had previously been put on the wanted list. One had even been tried for a double murder. The reasons for the kidnapping of the murdered hostage and other details are still unknown.
