Protected the ACs — got the tires slashed. Strange revenge on a doctor in Zhigulyovsk

A doctor«s car was disabled after he intervened to protect hospital property.
In Zhigulyovsk, a strange and alarming incident occurred. In the morning, infectious disease doctor Dmitry Kalyaev found that all four tires of his car had been punctured.

The incident is suspected to be retaliation for the doctor«s principled stand.
«And the immediate question arose: who could have done this?» the doctor wrote on his social media page.

Donations collected for the doctor will also aid participants of the military operation.
The doctor cautiously put forward two theories on his social media page: it could have been either «Ukrainian saboteurs» or a reaction related to his professional activity. An indirect confirmation of the second theory was allegedly an event the day before: Kalyaev stopped an attempt to dismantle air conditioners from the clinic«s offices, about which he wrote a report to the management and contacted the police.
«It seems I stepped on someone»s toes,« he wrote. And promised: »My work in this direction will continue! I will not allow theft of state property!«
The doctor was defended by public activists. Samara blogger Alena Vorontsova explained that these air conditioners were bought several years ago with sponsors« money so that patients and doctors could work more easily in the heat. But they were never registered as hospital property. Because of this, they became as if »ownerless.«
«Apparently, because they were not on the balance sheet, they became such convenient »ownerless« property, which someone decided to take with them when leaving their position,» writes Vorontsova.
According to the blogger, Kalyaev is a principled doctor who «never kept silent» about problems. He buys medicine at his own expense and helps the front.
«Two weeks have passed since he submitted his report on the air conditioners, but there has been zero reaction. However, there was another reaction — slashed tires,» notes Vorontsova.
Local residents have already collected money for the doctor to buy new tires. And the extra money, according to the blogger, will be used to purchase necessary items for participants of the special military operation (SMO).
