Novosibirsk Court Hears Two Cases Against Former Tax Inspector
Fokina had seven apartments, an expensive car, and a plot with a house over 600 square meters.
In the Leninsky District Court of Novosibirsk, two cases are being considered against Yulia Fokina, a former employee of the tax inspection. This was reported in the «Courts of General Jurisdiction» group on VKontakte.
The prosecutor is demanding that property be turned over to state income, which, according to the agency, was purchased with unconfirmed income. Between 2018 and 2022, the woman acquired and registered in the names of trusted persons seven apartments, an expensive car, and a plot with a house over 600 square meters in area. The total value of the assets exceeds 70 million rubles (approximately $700,000 at current rates), while her official income was less than 14.5 million rubles (about $145,000).
In January 2025, Fokina was arrested. According to the investigation, in December 2024, the accused received 1 million rubles (around $10,000 at current rates) for help in reducing the tax arrears of a commercial organization. The transfer of money was intercepted by employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) for the Novosibirsk Region.
Both cases are at the stage of consideration.
