New details have emerged about a stabbing in a northern Moscow apartment.
A Moscow resident attacked his wife and son with a knife, according to the capital«s Investigative Committee. Neighbors saved the bleeding woman and child, and they are now in the hospital. MSK1.RU reports the details of the incident.

The attack followed a heated argument between the married couple.
The incident occurred on the evening of January 26 in an apartment on Lineiny Proyezd, near the Okruzhnaya metro station. MSK1.RU learned that the suspect is a 43-year-old man named Yuri, originally from the Altai Krai. Investigators say he was intoxicated during the attack.

The woman injured in the Lineiny Proyezd incident is now hospitalized.
According to the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets, the incident began with a domestic argument; neighbors heard shouting and fighting from the apartment. The wife and her son escaped into the stairwell, but Yuri chased them with a knife.
The 39-year-old woman suffered four stab wounds. The 14-year-old boy, according to MK, attempted to protect his mother. He was also attacked by his father, sustaining at least eight knife wounds.
Neighbors hid the woman and her son and promptly called the police and an ambulance. The victims are currently hospitalized, and the attacker has been arrested. The Moscow Prosecutor«s Office stated that he will undergo a psychological and psychiatric evaluation.
According to MK, Yuri had been receiving treatment at a private clinic and was in an unstable mental state recently. The publication notes that his financial dependence on his wife, for whom he worked as a consultant in her optics store, aggravated the situation.
Yuri has been charged with attempted murder of two individuals under Russian criminal law.
Earlier, MSK1.RU covered a clash among youths at a bus stop in Elektrostal, Moscow Region. During the altercation, participants brandished a flare gun, pepper spray, and a knife. The incident resulted in the death of 18-year-old Ilya Polezhaev, allegedly at the hands of 19-year-old Imomali Turtsidev, a native of Tajikistan.
