Mother Arrested in Ufa for Allegedly Killing Daughter

A court in Ufa has sent a 29-year-old mother accused of murdering her own child into custody. Investigators requested this while all circumstances of the child«s death are being clarified.

The tragedy occurred on January 25. Law enforcement suspects that the Ufa resident strangled her underage daughter. A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Murder.» For the duration of the investigation, the accused was sent into custody until March 25. As noted by the court«s press service, the ruling has not yet come into force.

Earlier, it became known about another resident of Bashkiria who is accused of stabbing his ex-wife and wounding his 19-year-old daughter. The girl tried to defend her mother but herself became a victim of the attack. She managed to call an ambulance, and medics provided her assistance, but the attacker«s ex-wife could not be saved. He himself fled but was later detained by police. The man was also sent into custody while all circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
